Celebrating the release of her new studio album, Consider the Speed (out October 16, 2020 on Sonic Unyon Records), Terra Lightfoot has announced three special hometown album release shows before an intimate audience limited to just 50 attendees per show.
These full-band concerts will deliver the powerhouse performances that fans have come to expect from the acclaimed songwriter-guitarist-vocalist in a pair of 45-minute sets each night. Each concert will take place at 125 Barton St. W. (South Building), Hamilton and will feature Terra Lightfoot and band (bassist Eli Abrams and drummer Glenn Milchem) exclusively. Tickets to all shows are on sale now.
On Friday, October 16, the album's official release date, Lightfoot will play an exclusive "Dinner and a Show" VIP Experience (6-10pm) featuring the culinary expertise of Hamilton rockstar chef Jonny Blonde. Lightfoot will also be playing a pair of straight-ahead concerts the following day, Saturday October 17. A matinee concert (12-4pm) and evening concert (6-10pm) will each feature twinned 45-minute sets, as on the opening night. The Saturday evening concert will also be available to view via ticketed livestream, hosted by Side Door Concerts, for fans unable to attend in person.
All tickets to in-person shows will also come with a copy of Consider the Speed on CD, delivered to buyers at time of concert.
Tickets to Lightfoot's Friday October 16 concert are $100 per (plus service charges and HST); tickets to Lightfoot's Saturday October 17 concerts are $50 per (plus service charges and HST). All seating for the Terra Lightfoot release shows is reserved in table configurations or two or four seats, and abides by physical distancing measures and additional event-based measures to mitigate risk of COVID-19 spread. All ticket holders at any given table are required to be members of the same social circle. "Social circle" refers to the predetermined group of no more than ten (10) family members, roommates, and others who are able to socialize exclusively with one another while enjoying close physical contact. All buyers will be required to present government-issued photo ID upon entry to confirm identity. Contact at entry has been minimized and alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations will be available. All ticket holders will receive a face mask upon entry. In accordance with City of Hamilton Bylaw 20-155, all attendees must wear a properly fitted face mask which covers the nose, mouth and chin except where exempt. The licensed/all-ages event will also feature a licensed bar with waitstaff service to minimize points of contact.
All attendees will be screened by questionnaire and touchless infrared thermometer prior to entry. Accessibility corridors have been provided to facilitate audience flow and safely allow entry and exit. Physical distancing measures, as well as enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols will be in place around public washrooms. Ticket holders will be required maintain physical distancing protocols at all times by staying at least 2 metres (6.5 feet) apart from others outside their social circle. Individuals will also be asked to self-assess on day of event and remain at home if they are experiencing COVID-19-consistent symptoms; please consult the Government of Ontario's online self-assessment tool. Those with symptoms, who have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, who have returned from travelling outside of Canada within 14 days of the event, or who have told to self-isolate, should not attend. Failure to abide by any of event policies, above or onsite, will constitute a breach of terms and may result in removal from the event without refund.
